Walker certification

Two parts, both free. First a written part on this page. Then something of your own: a composition of seven lines, read by a certified scribe.

The written part has no clock and you can take it as often as you like. The scribe replies within seven nights.

When both parts pass you are certified as a Walker.

You can take the exam signed out for practice. To be certified, sign in first: a certificate needs an account.

Your composition

  • Compose seven lines of your own in Somka, on any subject. Give each line a word-by-word gloss and an English version.
  • Type the lines below, and add a picture of them written by hand if you like (PNG, JPEG, WebP or PDF, up to 5 MB).
  • Recitation: when recordings can be sent here, you may add one. It is never required: a written recitation, the seven lines copied out from memory, counts the same.
  • A certified scribe reads it for grammar (the verb second, the ledger word), for sound (Somka syllables only) and for sense, and replies within seven nights.
